What we are looking for:

An Executive Sous Chef  is needed to hire and develop the team of the “dapper as hell” Supper Club located on the top floor of the Twelve Thirty Club. The Supper Club is upscale dining with simplicity and style; 500 seats, live music, raw bar, three private dining rooms, and a posh rooftop terrace. We are looking for a passionate and talented chef to provide an unwavering upscale experience to our guests.  If you revel in scratch cooking and working with the best ingredients, our expansive stations and sparkling, world-class equipment offer the tools our team members require and deserve. 


As a Sushi Bar Sous Chef you will…

  • Have 2+ years of high-volume culinary management experience in a sushi/raw bar 
  • Expertly cut, slice and filet different types of fish
  • Prepare and coach a team to prepare sushi dishes in accordance with food health and safety regulations and restaurant standards
  • Customize guest orders according to preference and food allergy considerations
  • Communicate with service staff to ensure that special requests and food allergy considerations are met
  • Demonstrate a working understanding of business operations and financials
  • Regularly take inventory of food supplies and other products
  • Manage shifts which include daily decision making, scheduling and planning
  • Create memorable dining experiences by exceeding guest expectations
  • Demonstrate ingredient knowledge and understanding of culinary trends
  • Ensure adherence to recipes, safety practices and sanitation standards in the kitchen 
  • Perform calmly and effectively in a high-volume, open kitchen, interacting with guests
  • Manage on-the-fly requests with ease and poise
  • Understand POS systems and inventory control systems
  • Coach, lead and develop culinary team
  • Drive continuous improvement
